The Indoor Winds division provides a venue for young people to achieve the extraordinary through indoor performance and competition. Indoor Winds is a natural extension of an existing indoor color guard and indoor percussion ensemble divisions.
Horizon Winds uses traditional band instrumentation and electronics to enhance performances. The organzation is open to all ages and talents. During the performance season, December through April, members will perform across the state of Florida and culminate in Dayton, Ohio, at the WGI World Championships.
Contracted membership within Horizon Winds will receive personalized individual and group lessons, both musically and visually, throughout the season. With the skills learned, many of Horizon’s members have become leaders within their collegiate or high school programs. Horizon Winds is also very proud to support our members who go on to march in groups such as the Boston Crusaders, Troopers, Heat Wave, Blue Stars, Jersey Surf, Madison Scouts, Phantom Regiment, Blue Knights, Sacramento Mandarins, Vanguard Cadets, and The Cadets.
